The interest in cryptocurrency Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) is rapidly escalating across the United States, focusing particularly on sectors linked to XRP and Solana. Since their debut, XRP-linked spot ETFs have attracted significant attention, amassing over $909 million in assets. Reports from various sources highlight that institutions have already gathered more than 400 million XRP through these innovative financial instruments.
Why Are XRP ETFs Gaining Ground Rapidly?
Holding the majority stake in these investments is Canary Capital’s XRPC fund, commanding $351 million, trailed by Bitwise, Grayscale, Franklin Templeton, and REX-Osprey’s contributions. Analysts predict heightened interest from traditional financial establishments may lead to new ETF approvals. This shift could result in around 1 billion XRP being secured within ETFs, marking a critical phase characterized as an “institutional race.”
Can Solana Maintain Its Grip in the ETF World?
The situation is different for Solana ETFs, which are witnessing withdrawals despite positive on-chain activity. A notable outflow of $32.19 million from 21Shares’ TSOL product occurred as other Solana ETFs maintained less volatile transactions. The outflow indicates ongoing adjustments in the market despite an overall positive sentiment about Solana’s blockchain performance.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, speaking at a recent blockchain event, highlighted that 2026 could become a defining year for cryptocurrencies, owing partly to clearer regulations, higher demand from financial behemoths such as BlackRock and Vanguard, and a growing stablecoin market.
“We foresee a robust environment as regulatory insights evolve and major players like Vanguard adapt to the burgeoning crypto sphere,” Garlinghouse noted.
Besides, in legislative spaces, the GENIUS Act along with the Clarity Act could reshape the U.S. crypto assets framework, with anticipated action by mid-2026. This movement is essential for laying a foundation conducive to stable and sustained growth in the crypto sector.
Other key trends include:
- Leveraged ETFs for both XRP and Solana are being launched by REX Shares and Tuttle Capital, targeting increased asset movements.
- On-chain capital exceeding $321 million has migrated to Solana, notably from Ethereum, depicting a promising pipeline despite ETF outflows.
The ongoing dynamic between XRP and Solana ETFs highlights strategic shifts by institutional investors that are fundamentally transforming the crypto landscape. These developments, along with regulatory progress and diversified investment vehicles, indicate a new cryptocurrency paradigm set to flourish in the upcoming years.
